Configure LightRules Power

User Considerations: Only Operations or Admin users can access this feature. See User Roles for more information.

LightRules creates energy reports based on how the power meters are grouped together. For example, you can keep each power meter separate by creating a new group for each meter, or you can group certain meters together to aggregate the data.

Within LightRules, you can add, edit, and delete power meters, power meter groups, and power gateways. Adding and removing power meters or power gateways requires an update of the map file using Commissioner software.

Power Meters

ClosedAdd a New Power Meter
  1. Select Config > Power Meters from the menu.
  2. Click New Power Meter at the bottom of the screen.
  3. Enter all applicable information.
  4. Click Create Power Meter.

Tip: When adding or removing power meters or power gateways, the map file must be updated. Use Commissioner software to update the map file.

ClosedEdit a Power Meter
  1. Select Config > Power Meters from the menu.
  2. Click Edit in the row of the power meter you wish to edit.
  3. Make all necessary edits.
  4. Click Update Power Meter.
ClosedDelete a Power Meter
  1. Select Config > Power Meters from the menu.
  2. Click Delete in the row of the power meter you wish to remove.
  3. Click OK to confirm.

Power Meter Groups

ClosedAdd a New Meter Group
  1. Select Config > Power Meter Groups from the menu.
  2. Click New Meter Group.
  3. Enter a Name and Description.
  4. Click Create Power Meter Group.
ClosedEdit a Meter Group
  1. Select Config > Power Meter Groups from the menu.
  2. Click Editin the row of the meter group you wish to edit.
  3. Make necessary changes.
  4. Click Update Power Meter Group.
ClosedDelete a Meter Group
  1. Select Config > Power Meter Groups from the menu.
  2. Click Delete in the row of the power meter you wish to remove.
  3. Click OKto confirm.

Power Gateways

ClosedAdd a New Power Gateway
  1. Select Config > Power Gateways from the menu.
  2. Click New Power Gateway.
  3. Enter a Name and Description.
  4. Click Create Power Gateway.
ClosedEdit a Power Gateway
  1. Select Config > Power Gateways from the menu.
  2. Click Editin the row of the gateway you wish to edit.
  3. Make necessary changes.
  4. Click Update Power Gateway.
ClosedDelete a Power Gateway
  1. Select Config > Power Gateways from the menu.
  2. Click Delete in the row of the power gateway you wish to remove.
  3. Click OKto confirm.
